Henry Asante Twum, Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has expressed confidence in Otto Addo and his technical team’s ability to guide Ghana to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This assurance follows public criticism after the Black Stars failed to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Speaking on Asempa FM, Asante Twum acknowledged changes in the team since Ghana’s qualification for the 2022 World Cup but emphasized trust in Addo’s leadership.
He noted that while Chris Hughton, George Boateng, and Didi Dramani supported Addo in the past, the current staff, including John Paintsil, Joseph Laumann, and goalkeeper trainer Fatau Dauda, remain capable.
The Black Stars, second in Group I with nine points, will face Chad and Madagascar in their next qualifiers.
