Paintsil signs for Leicester City

Ghana defender John Paintsil has joined Leicester City in the English championships on a three year deal, KickOffGhana.com can exclusively reveal.

The 30-year-old put to pen to paper on the deal for Sven Goran Ericsson's side and says his top priority is to help Leicester gain promotion into the Premier League.

Paintsil has dropped down one division after his contract with Fulham expired.

It is the first time Paintsil will be playing outside any top division since he came to light in 2001, but the third English club he will be playing for since arriving in England in 2006 with Leicester.

He joins the Championship side with enormous experience too having represented Ghana in three Africa Cup of Nations and two World Cups.
