Ghana's Theophilus Allotey moved closer to Olympic qualification with a victory over Kyrgyzstan's Anvarzhan Khadzhiev on May 3.
Allotey won a 4-1 split decision in the flyweight division at the World Olympic Boxing Qualifiers in Bangkok, Thailand, advancing to the Round of 16. He needs two more wins to secure a spot in Paris 2024 and is the only male boxer remaining from Ghana's six participants.
In the women's middleweight category, Ornella Sathoud will face Aynur Rzayeva from Azerbaijan on June 1.
The Bangkok qualifiers are Ghana's final opportunity to qualify for the Olympics, with 51 slots available.
