‘Politicians pretend to develop sports’ – UG Sports Director

He argues that their focus is primarily on using sports as a political tool rather than fostering real development, as evidenced by their inclusion of sports in campaign manifestos.

The sports sector in Ghana is reportedly experiencing a downturn, with key areas such as football, boxing, and athletics struggling in major competitions.

Dr. Luguterah attributes this decline to the indifferent approach taken towards sports development.
