Ghanaian coach Sarfo Castro has descended heavily on Ghanaians, blaming them for being overly partial following FIFA’s ban on former GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi.
The world football governing body handed the former CAF 1st Vice President a life ban from all football-related activities following a documentary by controversial journalist Anas Armeyaw Anas bothering on corruption in Ghana football.
The decision was hailed by a section of the Ghanaian media who are believed to have scores to settle with the indignant former football administrator.
And Sarfo Castro, a former trainer of Wa All Stars is the latest to share his opinion the matter insisting Ghanaians didn’t give Nyantakyi fair hearing when passing judgement because the Exposé was a good package scheme unleashed against Nyantakyi.
“All these accusation and problems should rather be put at the doorstep of club owners. Ghanaians were not fair to Kwesi Nyantakyi after the #12 video”.
“The Clubs paid money to the referees to influence matches but no club was punished so why are we lambasting only Nyantakyi”, Coach Sarfo Castro said.
The former FIFA Council member has however tabled an appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sports awaiting hearing.
