Although Carvajal has kept his political beliefs private, he is often perceived as leaning towards right-wing politics in Spain.

Earlier this summer, he also attracted attention for snubbing Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, who represents the center-left Socialist party, while Abascal shares similar views to Trump regarding immigration and human rights.
