North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has criticized Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif for not providing financial details in his report on the 2023 African Games held in Ghana.
Ussif presented a report on June 25 highlighting Ghana's achievements but omitted financial information, prompting the minority to demand full accounting.
They allege the Sports Ministry overspent, including $48 million on operational expenses. Ablakwa emphasized Parliament's role in financial oversight and insisted the Sports Minister must provide the financial details.
Ghana won 69 medals at the competition, which was hosted domestically for the first time.
