Accra Great Olympics lost at home to visiting Dawu Youngsters 3-2 at the Accra Sports Stadium in one of the most exciting games.
In Tema, Ghapoha FC held defending league champions Accra Hearts of Oak to a goalless draw.
THERE WAS drama at The Tema Park when the referee instinctively awarded a goal after a goal-bound ball bobbled in a puddle of rainwater, with some, and most importantly the referee, deciding the ball had crossed the line. However, once the referee had conferred with his assistants he disallowed the goal on the linesman's advice when he pointed out that the entire circumference of the ball had not crossed the goal line.
Elsewhere at Nkawkaw, Kumasi Asante Kotoko overturned Okwawu United 1-0, while King Faisal thrashed Maxbees FC 3-0 at The Kumasi Sports Stadium.
In other matches, Sekondi Hasaacas defeated Real Tamale United by 2-1 at Sekondi with Adansiman FC also accounting for Liberty Professionals by the same score margin at the Len Clay Stadium. Bofoakwa Tano were held to a 1-1 draw.
Despite the league resuming today, it did little for the attendance figures with many people staying away because of the rain.
