US-based Osman Bukari rejoins Black Stars after five-month absence for 2025 AFCON qualifiers

Austin FC forward Osman Bukari has been recalled to the Ghana national team after a five-month hiatus, providing him with an opportunity to participate in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola and Niger.

Bukari's last appearance for the Black Stars was in January during the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast, where he came off the bench in a 2-2 match against Egypt.

His time on the field ended prematurely due to a mistake that resulted in an Egyptian goal, leading to his substitution.

Although he was called up again in June for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Bukari did not feature in the matches against Mali or the Central African Republic.
