WAFU B President Kurt Okraku arrived in Niamey, Niger, on November 21, 2024, for the 17th General Assembly of the sub-regional football body. He was welcomed by Nigerien Football Federation President Colonel-Major Djibrilla Hima Hamidou and WAFU B Executive Director Philippe Tchere.
Okraku, also Ghana FA President, will deliver the opening address at the assembly on November 22 at the Radisson Blu Hotel.
Accompanied by GFA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo and football legend Abdul Razak, Okraku will outline his vision for WAFU B's growth, emphasizing youth and women’s football, competition reform, and financial sustainability.
The assembly, attended by African football leaders, highlights Niger's first hosting of this key event and aims to advance football development across WAFU B's seven Member Associations.
