Jordan Ayew scored a dramatic late winner as Ghana defeated Mali 2-1 in Bamako, moving joint-top of Group I in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Mali led at halftime through Kamory Doubia, but Ernest Nuamah equalized for Ghana in the 58th minute. Despite several chances, including a missed opportunity by Thomas Partey, Ayew secured the victory in added time.

Ghana's win, their first in six games, gives them six points from three matches, placing them behind Comoros on goal difference.

The Black Stars will next face the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Stadium.
