At the recent Forum for China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), China pledged $50.7 billion in credit lines and investments over three years but did not offer the debt relief many African countries hoped for.
The funds will support 30 infrastructure and clean energy projects.

Ethiopia and Mauritius secured new currency swaps with China, and Kenya is advancing on key projects.
