Germany and Kenya have signed a deal allowing 250,000 skilled and semi-skilled Kenyan workers to migrate to Germany for jobs.
This agreement, signed by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Kenyan President William Ruto, aims to fill labour shortages in Germany while creating employment opportunities for Kenyans.
The program will also help Kenyans study and receive vocational training in Germany.
Concerns about a "brain drain" have been raised, especially for doctors and nurses, but Kenya sees this as a way to tackle youth unemployment by providing global job opportunities.
