Libera: ‘It’s Going to Be Massive’-ArcelorMittal Liberia’s most senior Liberian mine professional speaks of Phase II Expansion Project

Jallah Selmah, Assistant Mine Manager at ArcelorMittal Liberia, exemplifies passion and dedication in his role.

As the principal deputy to the Mine Manager, he ensures the efficient operation of mining sites while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Selmah began his journey with the company during the rehabilitation of the Yekepa-Buchanan railway and has since progressed through various roles, including Acting Mine Manager.

Recognized as a high-potential employee, he received a scholarship to study mining engineering in Ghana.

He emphasizes the importance of supporting the ongoing Phase II Expansion Project, which could position ArcelorMittal Liberia as the largest mine in Africa.
