Rescue teams in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, have made contact with people trapped in the rubble of a four-storey building that collapsed in the busy Kariakoo market area.

Thirteen people have died, while 84 have been rescued so far.

Authorities are providing supplies like water, glucose, and oxygen through gaps in the debris, and tapping sounds have been heard from inside.

Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa has pledged to ensure all trapped individuals are rescued.
