Eight ex-corps members from Akwa Ibom, kidnapped in Zamfara while en route to their NYSC duty in 2023, have appealed to the Federal and state governments for job support to recover from their traumatic ordeal.

After enduring months of torture, starvation, and captivity, the last victim, Solomon Daniel, was released over a year later.

The survivors, still grappling with post-traumatic stress and health issues, shared their stories of resilience.

They thanked President Tinubu, NYSC, and others for their rescue and urged reforms to improve NYSC safety and purpose in nation-building.
