In Sudan's Gezira state, several women have reportedly taken their lives after being raped by paramilitary fighters during the ongoing civil war.

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have been accused of committing atrocious crimes, including mass killings and sexual violence.

Rights groups say they are in contact with women contemplating suicide due to fears of further assaults.

A recent UN report documented at least 400 cases of sexual violence, highlighting a severe humanitarian crisis.

Activists are providing psychological support and seeking secure locations for vulnerable women, including a 13-year-old girl in urgent need of medical care.
