Veteran Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwor has advised the up and coming actors and actresses in the movie industry.
Speaking at a candlelight vigil in memory of Africa Movie Academy Awards founder, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, Ozokwor said that they do not need to relocate to Lagos or Abuja for them to thrive.
According to her, Lagos or Abuja does not determine whether they will succeed or become stars.
She noted that they can achieve huge success in their various states. Citing herself as an example, she said, “For me, I said I am going to stay in Enugu, inside the village and when I go to Lagos, I tell them I am a village woman.
“I stay at Ngwo in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State and God has shown me that you can become a star from anywhere. You don’t need to be in Lagos or Abuja”.
She added: “If you are good enough, they will call you even from America.”
