Reggae star Buju Banton has revealed his Igbo heritage, tracing his Maroon ancestry to Nigeria’s Igbo people.

On the Drink Champs podcast, he criticized the Jamaican government’s decision to allow foreign entities into the Cockpit region, warning it threatens Maroon land and cultural heritage.
