Ghana-born Reggae star, Stonebwoy, gets ready to drop yet another video off his recent album “Epistles of Mama”.
Shot in the Caribbean country of Jamaica, the video for “Most Original”, the remix, features global dancehall icon Sean Paul, and Chi Ching Ching. It was directed by veteran filmmaker Jay Will.
Stonebwoy featured Sean Paul on ‘Most Original’ track on the 24-track double album. The album, which was released on December 12 is made up of 12 Afrobeat tracks and 12 Reggae tracks.
Speaking in an interview with Doreen Andoh on Cosmopolitan Mix on Joy FM, the dancehall act said he was overwhelmed that “a busy superstar” like Sean Paul featured on the album.
We all grew up on Sean Paul so to grow up today doing ‘refixes’ (remixes) of his song and featuring him on the song is a blessing,” he said.
The ‘My Name’ hitmaker added that “…it’s divine basically because he fits in worthy to feature on the song. He was actually on tour when I sent him the song.”
Epistles of Mama, jointly published by ZYLOFON Music and the artist’s own BMG imprint, consists 24 songs and features a flavoursome array of local and international heavyweights as Sean Paul, Chronixx, Sarkodie, Pressure, I Octane, Efya, Vanessa Bling, Joey B, Kabaka Pyramid all feature on the double CD project: one half dedicated to Afrobeats, and the other, reggae/dancehall.
