Team Eternity’s ‘Defe Defe’ hit with copyright infringement scandal

Team Eternity Ghana, acclaimed for their gospel hit 'Defe Defe,' faces serious allegations of copyright infringement.

Veteran producer Kwame Mickey accuses them of unlawfully sampling a song by his artistes, Helleluyah Voices.

He highlighted similarities in lyrics and structure between 'Defe Defe' and a song from 15 years ago by Helleluyah Voices.

Despite differing melodies, Mickey claims both songs share identical lines, composition, and arrangement.

The controversy, sparked by Mickey's social media post, questions the originality of Team Eternity's work and casts a shadow over their recent success.

Currently, Team Eternity has not responded officially to the accusations.
