Reader Reviews
Feeling the psychogical , social environment
It was shear luck I began to read Ama Ata Aidoo's book. I borrowed it from an important library in Budapest. This is her only book, I picked it up just for reading something short and in English. I must say , I was most lucky. If I proceed from 'facts' to 'abstraction', there is the important question where we start from. Because 'facts' are sometimes as biased as 'abstractions'. We can find hardly a better start-point for our thinking than this book. The writer has a distinctive feeling for human contacts, the state of mind of the speaker and the listener, and how somebody orients him/herself badly or well in this world.
