40th National Farmers’ day celebration to promote climate-resilient agriculture

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture has announced that the 40th National Farmers’ Day will be held on November 8, 2024, in the Greater Accra Region, with the theme “Building Climate-Resilient Agriculture for Sustainable Food Security.”

This year's event recognizes the contributions of farmers and fishermen to Ghana's economy and food security.

Agrifest Ghana 2024, a five-day agricultural fair, will precede the celebration from November 4-8.

The event will conclude with a National Awards Night where President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will honor outstanding farmers in various categories. The date change from December is due to the upcoming general elections.
