The Minister of Communications and Digitalisation, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, announced that 5G services will launch in Ghana on November 1, 2024.
This fifth-generation wireless technology promises significantly higher internet speeds, improved connectivity, and lower latency compared to 4G.
The government has partnered with seven industry players, including Ascend Digital and Nokia, to establish a shared infrastructure for affordable and high-speed mobile broadband.
This initiative aims to enhance access to digital services across sectors like healthcare, education, and finance, ensuring efficient service delivery to Ghanaians.
