Amazon has launched a new mobile-only outlet called Haul, offering products priced at $20 or less, aiming to compete with low-cost retailers like Temu and Shein.
Available in the US through Amazon’s Shopping app, Haul will feature products that typically cost under $10, such as a razor set or jewelry, with delivery times of up to two weeks.
The platform follows the business model of Chinese e-commerce apps, focusing on ultra-low prices and extended shipping times. Free delivery is offered for orders over $25.
While Amazon aims to provide affordable goods, the initiative faces criticism over the environmental impact of cheap product production and shipping. The Haul experience is in its early stages, with customer feedback to shape future developments.
