Bank staff lifestyle audits vital to fraud prevention – John Awuah

John Awuah, CEO of the Ghana Association of Bankers, highlighted the importance of lifestyle audits in preventing fraud within Ghana's banking sector.

Speaking on Joy News’ PM Express, he shared how banks monitor employees' lifestyle changes to ensure transparency and detect any illicit income sources.

Awuah explained that lifestyle audits, such as checking if purchases align with salaries, act as a deterrent without being intrusive.

He stressed the need for financial discipline among banking staff, urging them to live within their means and manage finances responsibly to avoid pressures that could lead to fraud.
