Bawumia launches Credit Scoring System for Ghana

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of Ghana and NPP Presidential Candidate, launched "MyCreditScore," a personalized credit scoring system designed to enhance Ghanaians' credit access.

Backed by the Central Bank, this system allows individuals to transparently display their creditworthiness, enabling those with good scores to secure larger, more favorable loans.

Described by Dr. Bawumia as a milestone for financial inclusion, myCreditScore aims to address lending challenges, reduce Ghana's high non-performing loan rate, and foster responsible borrowing.

Originating from legislation in 2007, the system embodies a successful public-private partnership and reflects Ghana's commitment to sustainable, inclusive economic growth.
