The secondary bond market saw a 20.48% decline in activity, dropping from GH¢908 million to GH¢722 million.
February 2027 maturities dominated trading, accounting for 47.2% of the total volume with a yield to maturity (YTM) of 24.13%. Between 2027 and 2030, bonds maturing made up 76.29% of the market, averaging a YTM of 24.88%.
Maturities from 2031 to 2034 and 2035 to 2028 accounted for 23.69% and 0.03% of trades, with YTMs of 22.67% and 25.40%.
Analysts predict continued focus on shorter-term bonds with minimal long-term activity.
