COCOFEST 2024: GEPA champions initiative to attract investment in coconut sector

The 4th International Coconut Festival Ghana has commenced at the Accra International Conference Centre under the theme “Empowering Lives Through Coconut—Innovation, Employment, and Sustainable Livelihoods.”

Organized by the African Coconut Group and sponsored by GEPA, TCDA, and WRCC, the event promotes the growth of Ghana’s coconut industry.

GEPA CEO Dr. Afua Asabea Asare highlighted efforts to support farmers through seedling distribution and GEPA’s target to generate $25.3 billion by 2029.

Activities include exhibitions, mentorship, and networking. Coconut exports contributed $12.3 million in 2022, reflecting its economic significance.
