Cement retailers commend govt for passage of price regulation LI

Cement retailers in Accra have welcomed the new Legislative Instrument (LI) regulating cement prices, which was recently enacted after a 21-day review period.

The LI, introduced by Trade and Industry Minister K.T. Hammond, aims to stabilize cement prices and ease business operations for retailers.

Vida Okyere and Fred Andoh, local retailers, praised the law for helping manage costs and improve affordability for consumers.

While the Chamber of Construction and Industry plans to discuss the LI with the Trade Minister, the Chamber of Cement Manufacturers has yet to comment on the law.
