Current ‘Dumsor’ due to challenges at Gas processing plant at Atuabo – GRIDCo, ECG

The Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) and the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) have attributed recent intermittent power outages, or 'dumsor', to a technical issue at the Ghana National Gas Company’s (GNGC) Gas Processing Plant in Atuabo. The outages are due to a limited gas supply for power generation.

In a joint statement, GRIDCo and ECG apologized for the inconvenience and assured the public that GNGC engineers are working to resolve the problem and restore the full gas supply to stabilize the electricity supply nationwide.
