‘Effective corporate governance will improve devt outcomes’

At the inaugural Boardroom Governance Summit in Accra, Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam urged board members and heads of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) to make effective decisions to enhance development outcomes.

He highlighted the government's Corporate Governance Action Plan, initiated in 2017, aimed at improving governance practices and transparency among SOEs.

Prof. Douglas Boateng emphasized the importance of accountability and ethical leadership in corporate governance, citing successful governance models from countries like the U.S. and Singapore.

The summit, which included the launch of Boateng's book "Practical Perspectives On Boardroom Governance," gathered key stakeholders to discuss sustainable development.
