GCTU has partnered with Microsoft Skills for Jobs, Osoo Africa, and Raycom Technologies to introduce the Microsoft Skills for Jobs Micro degree Programme in Ghana.
This initiative, funded by the European Union, aims to provide training, certification, and job placement in high-demand fields like cybersecurity, AI, and coding.
The partnership will offer micro-loans through local banks to make the program more accessible.
GCTU’s graduate students will be required to complete the Micro degree as part of their qualifications, enhancing their career prospects. The program targets certifying 286,000 students by 2026, with 60,000 from Ghana.
The collaboration also opens doors for student exchange opportunities and international job placements. This move strengthens GCTU’s role as a leader in IT education in Ghana.
