GIPC confident of addressing barriers to foreign investment

The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) is optimistic that its legislative reforms will resolve issues deterring foreign investor confidence.

GIPC highlighted difficulties in acquiring necessary documentation from the Ghana Revenue Authority's Customs Division and noted insufficient cooperation among government and customs officials, impacting foreign businesses.

Deputy CEO Yaw Amoateng Afriyie, at a stakeholder forum on customs controls and regulations, emphasized GIPC's efforts to address these challenges.

He highlighted ongoing reforms and the introduction of digital customs and e-commerce platforms as key enablers for the business community, aimed at removing bottlenecks hindering business operations and foreign capital investment in Ghana.
