GRA to crackdown on tax defaulters

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has announced a crackdown on tax defaulters starting June 21, 2024, in accordance with the Revenue Administration Act, 2016.

The GRA will initiate a debt collection exercise to recover outstanding tax arrears from all taxpayers, including public institutions.

Taxpayers are urged to settle their arrears or make arrangements to fulfill their tax obligations.

Failure to pay taxes by the due date is an offence under Section 80 of the Act. The GRA will use all available enforcement tools to retrieve tax debts after June 21, 2024.
