GSE Deputy MD champions sustainable financing at Ring the Bell for Climate event

At the 2nd Ring the Bell for Climate event on November 19, 2024, Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) Deputy Managing Director, Frank Mensa Berle, highlighted the crucial role of capital markets in tackling climate change.

He emphasized how financial instruments like green bonds and sustainability-linked investments can fund clean energy, green infrastructure, and environmental preservation initiatives.

The GSE’s launch of its Green and Sustainable Bonds Market demonstrates its dedication to sustainable financing. The event showcased impactful projects, including LMI Holdings’ solar energy initiative and the La Emmaus Cluster of Schools’ climate education program, emphasizing corporate and educational roles in sustainability.

Mr. Berle called for collective action among investors, policymakers, and leaders to build a resilient financial ecosystem that addresses climate risks and drives green growth, urging prioritization of responsible investments.
