The fair provided an opportunity for patrons to network, exchange ideas, and explore Ghana's coffee products, bringing producers and consumers closer in a relaxed setting.
Entrepreneurs and coffee product makers displayed an array of offerings, with many patrons taking time to learn about the products and make purchases. The event featured interactive stands showcasing innovative coffee and cocoa items, including creams and unique brews, offering visitors a deeper appreciation of Ghana’s coffee scene.
Larry Attipoe, National Programme Coordinator for the International Trade Centre, shared his enthusiasm about the event, describing it as a chance to unwind while fostering industry ties.
"The fair has been fantastic," he said, adding, "I’ve enjoyed new coffee and cocoa products, and it’s clear that the coffee sector is on a promising path." Attipoe expressed the ITC’s delight with the event’s positive reception and hinted at plans for a larger, nationwide Ghana Coffee Week next year.
Patrons, too, were impressed by the diversity of products on display, with some surprised by the local coffee varieties available. "I wasn’t aware that Ghana produced coffee or such a range of coffee-based products," said one attendee. Others expressed hope that such events would become regular, emphasizing how they spotlight the richness of Ghanaian coffee and its untapped potential.
Held from October 21-26, Ghana Coffee Week 2024 focused on rejuvenating Ghana’s coffee sector, particularly through promoting Robusta coffee. The closing fair underscored the industry’s potential and provided a celebratory platform for stakeholders and enthusiasts alike to enjoy and envision a bright future for Ghana’s coffee culture.
