Ghana has secured a $2 billion framework arrangement with South Korea's Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) to support key programs in infrastructure, agriculture, health, education, energy, roads, transport, and ICT over the next five years.
The deal, signed during the 2024 Korea-Africa Summit, marks a significant milestone in Ghana-Korea relations.
Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam emphasized the transformative impact of the investment on Ghana's development, including high-speed railways and improved healthcare.
The agreement highlights Ghana's commitment to sustainable development and underscores recent economic gains, facilitated by the successful implementation of the IMF-supported Post Covid-19 Programme for Economic Growth (PC-PEG).
