The 2023 African Export and Import Bank (AFREXIM) Trade Report highlights Ghana's significant share of intra-African trade, which stood at 5.46%, a 27% increase from 2022.

Ghana's exports to African countries in 2023 were valued at over $6 billion, up from $4.73 billion in 2022, while imports were $1.3 billion.

The report underscores Ghana's effective use of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) agreement, with meaningful trade starting in October 2022.

The report also noted a 7.2% year-on-year growth in intra-African trade, reaching $192 billion in 2023, demonstrating resilience and optimism for Africa's trade and development.
