Ghana's score on the 2023 World Bank Country Policy and Institutional Assessment for Africa report remained at 3.4, consistent with the previous year.
The average score for Sub-Saharan African countries also stayed stable at 3.1. Ghana's weakest area was economic management, scoring 2.8, a 0.2 point increase from 2022.
It scored 3.6 in public sector management and institutions, and 3.5 in structural reforms.
The report praised the central bank's and government's efforts in reducing inflation and fiscal consolidation. It noted challenges in debt policy and trade facilitation but recognized significant steps toward transparency and debt restructuring.
