Virgin Atlantic Airlines will resume daily flights to Accra starting May 1, 2025, citing Ghana's economic recovery as a key factor.
Chief Commercial Officer Juha Jarvinen expressed confidence in the country's prospects for business, tourism, and youth engagement.
Virgin Atlantic previously suspended operations in 2013 due to high fuel prices and time slot issues. The airline now believes its competitive pricing and favorable schedule will attract passengers on the London-Accra route.
Virgin Atlantic also plans to promote Ghana as a tourist destination through its Virgin Atlantic Holidays, aiming to contribute to the country's tourism growth.
