Ghanaian local manufacturers importing raw materials will continue to benefit from both Value Added Tax (VAT) deferment and inbound manufacturing facilities following negotiations between the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI).
AGI CEO Seth Twum-Akwaboah emphasized that these tax reliefs are crucial for easing the financial burden on manufacturers.
At an annual meeting in Kumasi, he also highlighted AGI's advocacy efforts to foster a supportive business environment, including partnerships for training and improved access to finance, alongside a job fair to connect job seekers with industry members.
