LPG shortage hits parts of the country; TOR assures situation is being addressed

Long queues formed at LPG stations in Greater Accra on September 26, 2024, as the LPG Marketers Association warned of a worsening shortage.

Vice President Gabriel Kumi said 60-70% of stations had run out of LPG, putting pressure on those still stocked.

If supplies from Bulk Oil Distributors (BDCs) don't improve, the entire system could run dry by September 27.

However, the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) assured that the issue, caused by challenges with BDCs, has been resolved, and supplies are expected to normalize soon.
