The Chartered Institute of Realtors (CIR) and the Chamber of Real Estate (CRE) launched the Universal Village, a social housing project aimed at reducing Ghana’s housing deficit by providing affordable, sustainable homes.
Dignitaries such as Lebanon’s Ambassador Maher Kheir and Dr. Mark Nii Akwei Ankrah attended the launch. The project will build 100,000 homes, including studio and one- to two-bedroom units, targeting people living in informal structures.
It also includes green spaces, commercial centers, and schools. The initiative aims to improve living conditions, create jobs, and contribute to sustainable urban development in Ghana.
