MTN Ghana will phase out its scratch cards, last issued in 2020, by June 30, 2024. This aligns with MTN's digital solutions strategy and Ghana's digitalisation agenda.
Unused scratch cards won't be rechargeable after July 1, 2024, but their value can be redeemed at MTN Customer Experience Centres via Credit transfer (EVD).
Customers are encouraged to use digital channels like MoMo, Ayoba, and the myMTN app, with a 50% bonus on Mobile Money recharges.
Chief Sales Officer Samuel Addo highlighted the move's environmental benefits and efficiency improvements. MTN is also reducing its environmental footprint through waste reduction and energy-saving initiatives.
