McDan Group and the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop the "ElectroChem Terminal, Port of Ada," enhancing Ghana's marine transport and logistics capabilities.
The terminal will focus on exporting bulk natural and processed salt, improving logistics efficiency and reducing export costs. The project includes feasibility studies, navigation infrastructure, port facilities, and road improvements.
McDan will finance the project, while GPHA will support regulatory processes. Expected to boost salt production to over 2 million tonnes annually, the project will create jobs and improve socio-economic conditions in Ada.
