Minister inaugurates GHC5 million lorry terminal at Dormaa-Akenkro

Mr. Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah, the Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Decentralisation, has inaugurated a new bus terminal in Dormaa-Ahenkro, Bono Region, at a cost of GH¢5,222,229.15.

The facility, funded by the World Bank under the Ghana Secondary City Support Project (GSCSP), includes a police post, ambulance services, fire station, washrooms, offices, lockable stores, streetlights, a waiting room, and a mechanised borehole.

Korsah expressed confidence that the terminal would boost socio-economic development in the municipality and region. He also announced the upcoming second phase of the GSCSP.

Additionally, the Dormaa MCE, Mr. Drissa Quattara, shared updates on ongoing projects, including the upgrade of the Tuesday market and plans for modern traffic lights and pedestrian walkways.

Korsah also inaugurated a standard market at Berekun in Berekum East Municipality.
