NPA, OMCs to meet striking tanker drivers today

The National Petroleum Tanker Drivers Union strike has entered its third day which threatens a fuel shortage.

However, hopes arise for resolution as the Association of Oil Marketing Companies and the National Petroleum Authority plan a crucial meeting with the striking drivers on May 23.

Dr. Riverson Oppong, CEO of the Oil Marketing Companies Association, anticipates calling off the strike after the meeting, aiming to resolve salary payment issues.

Letters have been sent, and a consensus is hoped to be reached, with expectations that drivers will return to work by Friday, averting a fuel crisis.
