In all 15 customers were rewarded with TV sets ranging from 43 inches to 65 inches, cash prizes from GHS1000.00 to GHS3000.00 and the ultimate prize of car in the Greater Accra Region.
Speaking at the event, the General Manager of Mobile Financial Services, MTN Ghana, Eli Hini explained the objective of the introduction the mobile money platform which is to promote a cashless economy.
He disclosed that the after ten years of operations, MTN deemed it worthy to reward customers and also encourage them to use the platform.
“Our promo winners have been with us since we started ten years ago. Most of them did not know what we were talking about but today they are all part of this success story because they have believed on us and been on that journey. This to celebrate the success of mobile money with our loyal customers. This is to demonstrate the value we place on our customers”.
“I will like to urge all of us to remember our golden rule when it comes to keeping our wallet safe. Because once you enjoy the wonderful services of MTN MoMo you must also make sure that you protect your wallet. So once again do not disclose your MoMo pin to anybody”, he said.
He cautioned customers against sharing their mobile money with people including close relatives.
An excited Rebecca Quaye expressed gratitude to MTN for the gift and urged other customers to use MoMo for their financial activities .
The MTN MoMo@10 promo is expected to last three months with close to 1000 customers enjoying prizes such as 10 Hyundai i10 cars, smart television sets, and cash prizes.
