SSNIT disburses around GH¢400 million monthly to over 300,000 pensioners, aiming to alleviate old-age poverty in Ghana.
At the “Ops-A-Thon” Self-Employed Enrollment Drive in Koforidua, SSNIT’s General Manager of Operations, Kingsley Adjei-Manu, revealed that 128,000 self-employed individuals have been registered under the scheme.
He encouraged more self-employed and informal sector workers to join, emphasizing SSNIT's role in securing financial stability during retirement and expanding coverage to reduce poverty among retirees.
